To familiarise you with the way webgolfcoach works this page gives you a brief description of the upload/download process.

you will need ...

A 5+ mega pixel phone or a 6+ mega pixel camera, the software from your phone or camera loaded on to your computer or laptop, a USB cable to connect your recording device to your computer and either V1 Home 2.0 Premium or Basic software installed on your computer.

1. register as a new member

Once you have chosen which version of the software you want to download you will automatically be taken through the registration and set-up process. You will only be required to do this once, after which, every time you visit the site, you will be able to log in as a member and be automatically directed to your ‘locker’.

2. choose your software

Choose between the V1 Premium or V1 Basic software by either clicking on the relevant download button or choose download on the menu.

3. choose a golf pro to analyse your swing

To book a PGA professional swing analysis lesson, select an instructor from the webgolfcoach list of golf pro’s. Just choose your golf pro from the list. Your time, Your Place, Your Coach.

4. book a lesson

Your software has now been downloaded and you can now start using the V1 technology to view and edit your video recordings. Once you open up the software we advise you to click on “help” and view the “Video Tutorial”. This will help you to understand the icons within the software.The tutorial will explain how to record your swing using a camcorder but if you use a digital camera or mobile phone you can upload your recorded swing on to the software once you have saved it to your PC.

But before you are able to send it to be analysed, you need to book a lesson. This involves buying credits, for which you will need a credit or debit card. select the number of credits/lessons you wish to purchase and press send. Once you have followed the payment process through you will get a payment acknowledgement. This will allow you to send your video to be analysed by your chosen golf pro.

All our PGA golf pro analysis lessons cost a maximum of £19.00. You can buy just one, maybe it's your first time and you are trying out your software. Later you may decide to buy one or multiple lessons, the more you buy the cheaper the price – keeping them in reserve, so that you can just pop into your locker knowing that you can send your video straight off.

5. your locker

webgolfcoach has now automatically created a personalised secure online locker. This is your private area of the site where you can view your webgolfcoach pro video analysis. You are now ready to go ...

6. record your swing

Capture your swing with a 5+ mega pixel phone or 6+ mega pixel camera. Ideally, the person holding the camera should lean against something to help stabilise the camera.The clip should not be more than 10 seconds long. Please note that most cameras/phones have a pause facility and so make the filming easier.

To let our instructors give well-informed advice, the golf swing should be taken from two positions (shown in our sample video)

  1. face on to the golfer.
  2. Down the line with the camera positioned in line with the feet.

How far to take video from the golfer? See our sample video for best results. Using V1 Premium or V1 Basic, transfer your swing from your phone or digital camera to your computer.

7. save in your locker

Save your recorded swing by uploading it to your chosen Pro within the V1 software. The video will first pack and then send the video, confirming to you that it has been sent. Both V1 Premium and V1 Basic will automatically place your swing in your webgolfcoach locker.

8. your golf pro instructor

Your video will be assigned to your chosen pro in your personal profile within your locker. Your instructor will receive and analyse your swing using the V1 Pro software, the number one swing analysis system in golf.

9. email notification

You will automatically be notified by email once your lesson is complete and your swing analysis is ready to view.

10. view your swing analysis

Log-in to your locker using your email address and password to view your returned lesson. Review your swing analysis as often as you like and start improving your game!
